Michael J. DePietro, CPA - Managing Partner
Michael joined the firm in 1984 and took over as Managing Partner in 2016. Michael has extensive experience in tax planning and preparation, financial statement audits and is the partner in charge of the firm's retirement plan audits required under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA).
Michael is a member of the American Institute of Certified Plublic Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). Michael served for many years as an officer on the Board of the Utica Chapter of the NYSSCPA and is past president of that Chapter. He is currently on the boards of serveral local not-for-profit organizations.
Michael grew up in Utica, graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology and currently resides in Whitesboro with his wife and three children.

David J. Wojnas, CPA - Senior Partner
David is a partner with the firm for over 36 years of public accounting experience including the past thirty years with the firm. He is very involved in business, individual and trust tax planning and various consulting services. In addition, he serves as the lead partner in audits of various for-profit and not-for-profit entities.
David graduted from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). David has served as the Chapter Represenative, President and Treasurer if the Utica Chapter of the NYSSCPA. In addition, he has served on the boards of The Center for Family Life and Recovery, Arc Oneida Lewis Chapter, Mutlicultural Association of Medical Interpreters and the YMCA.
David grew up in Marcy and currently resides in Westmoreland with his wife.

Scott A. Baur, CPA – Partner
Scott is a partner at the firm with over 25 years of public accounting experience. Scott began his accounting career after graduating from Lemoyne College in 1992. He worked for 10 years with a CPA firm in Cooperstown, NY before joining Fitzgerald, DePietro & Wojnas, CPAs PC in 2002.
Scott provides tax preparation, planning and consulting for Individuals, Corporations, Partnerships. He also provides compilation, review and audit services to both for-profit and not-for-profit entities. He also has experience with payroll and sales tax. He also consults with clients on their computer and software technology including QuickBooks desktop and online versions as well as a variety of Sage products. He is also in charge of the in-house technology department.
Scott is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). Scott was Treasurer for the New York Mills Little League for ten years.

Joseph F. Finkst, Jr., CPA - Partner
Joe is a partner at the firm with over 20 years of public accounting experience. He began his career with a CPA firm in Syracuse, NY and joined Fitzgerald, DePietro & Wojnas in 2005. Joe provides tax planning and preparation for individuals and business clients in a variety of industries. He also provides compilation, review and audit services for a variety of for profit and not-for-profit entities. Joe is also heavily involved in the firm’s retirement plan audit engagements.
Joe graduated from SUNY Institute of Technology at Utica. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). He previously served as the Treasurer of the Samaritan Counseling Center of the Mohawk Valley for six years.
Joe resides in Little Falls with his wife and son and is currently a Board Commissioner for the Little Falls City School District.

Brian M. Reese, CPA - Partner
Brian is a partner at the firm with over 15 years of public accounting experience all at Fitzgerald, DePietro & Wojnas. This experience includes individual and business tax planning/preparation and compilation, review and audit engagements over a vast array of industries. Brian specializes in retirement plan audit engagements, non-profit entities and trust and estate planning.
Brian graduated from SUNY College at Brockport, Magna cum Laude. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). Brian is the former Chapter Representative, President and Treasurer of the Utica Chapter of the NYSSCPA. He is also the current Treasurer of the Center for Family Life and Recovery and the Accounting Campaign Chair for United Way of the Valley and Greater Utica.
Brian grew up in Utica and now resides in Whitesboro with his wife and two children.

Lynne Stewart, CPA - Partner
Lynne is a partner at the firm with over 20 years of public accounting experience along with many years in the private industry. She has been with the firm for more than 15 years. She has provided accounting and managment support to business owners in a variety of industries. She is involved in tax planning and preparation, as well as providing compilation, review and audit services.
Lynne graduated from SUNY Instititue of Technology at Utica. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA).
Lynne resides in New York Mills with her husband. Their two children are college graduates and have entered the workforce!

L. Michael Fitzgerald, CPA - Consultant
Mike joined the firm in 1979 and was managing partner from 1994 until he resigned from the partnership in 2016. He graduated from St. Bonaventure University and received a Masters Degree in Accounting from Northeastern University.
Mike is the past president and treasurer of the Rescue Mission of Utica, treasurer of the N.E. District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, president and treasurer of the Utica Industrial Development Corporation and Chairman of the Board of the Carbone Auto Group.
He is currently Vice-Chairman of the Oneida County Industrial Development Agency, a board member of Turbo Machined Products, LLC and MGS Manufacturing, treasurer of the Herkimer and Oneida Counties Community Foundation and Chairman of the Board of Utica First Insurance Company. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA).
Mike resides in New Hartford with this wife, Paula, has three adult children and six grandchildren.
